One almost forgotten stepping stone in the TP story was this amazing video series in 1975 directed by Tony Palmer with Richard Pilbrow as Executive Producer. With 17-hours of unique film including many previously unseen video clips, it tell the story of popular music and includes most of the stellar figures in music from Scott Joplin, through the Beatles and Stones to Springstein.

Thanks to the indefatigable efforts of Tony Palmer the whole series is re-released on a DVD box set available from May of 2008.
